As many as 34 families living on the west side of Pluit Reservoir, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Friday (10/31) began to be relocated to Muara Baru Flat. These families are residents of RT 19/17 Penjaringan who are affected by the reservoir normalization work. Within Pluit Reservoir area, about 200 buildings will be demolished.
“We better move into the flat, because during living on the side of Pluit Reservoir, our settlement often flooded up to one meter high in rainy season,” expressed Alwi (34), one of RT 19/17 residents.
According to Head of Penjaringan Sub-District, Rusdiyanto, almost all building owners are willing to be relocated to flat.
“This is the first phase of the relocation and will be continued with raffling process as soon as possible after all documents are ready,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Head of Area I Flats Management Unit, Maharyadi, told that the relocated residents are charged with flat rent fee in accordance to programmed tariff. For the first six months, his party is trying to free the flat rent fee.
“Thus far, aside the four towers that are already occupied, two other towers with units amounted 200 are ready to be occupied. All facilities like water and electricity are complete,” he stated.
For other residents who wish to be relocated to the flat, Rusdiyanto informed that the requirements are attaching copy of ID card, family card, marriage certificate, unmarried form, and willing their houses to be demolished.
“Hopefully the urban village apparatus would help the residents to complete those documents. This is Jakarta Provincial Government’s program, so it must be helped,” he said.
